Quick Tips
Preventing Separation

Files break because of either excessive torque or the build-up of cyclic fatigue. Two canals that merge together is the # 1 cause of separation. It is critical to take angled radiographs and fully evaluate them before beginning a root canal procedure. The clinician needs to trace the ligaments around the tooth and this will give him a good indications of the tooth’s anatomy. Always discard files after use in a severely curved canal.
